The City of Delta is currently considering entering into a lease agreement for the installation and placement of a digital sign board on the City of Delta’s North Delta Works Yard site at 8100 Nordel Way.

Prior to proceeding, Delta is seeking public comments regarding the proposed digital sign.

Delta would receive annual rental payments in addition to dedicated time on the sign to display community messaging, including but not limited to, amber alerts, community events, and community notices.

The proposed sign would be double-sided, approximately 14.6 m (48 ft) wide by 4.3 m (14 ft) in height, and would be oriented to vehicles travelling north and south along Highway 91.

Only static images (no video) would be displayed, with the length of each message being approximately eight seconds.

The illumination levels would be strictly regulated and meet the B.C. Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure’s requirements.

Residents with comments or concerns regarding the proposal, are asked to contact Delta’s Community Planning & Development department at 604-946-3380 or e-mail: [email protected] by Friday, Sept. 13.
