Delta police are reopening their offices to the public on Tuesday including their headquarters in Ladner.

Delta’s policing stations are set to reopen.

After being closed to the public due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Delta police Chief Neil Dubord said at Thursday’s virtual town hall meeting, that plans are in place to welcome the public back safely starting Tuesday.

“Our two large police stations – the public safety building in North Delta and our police station in Ladner are going to be open to the public again starting Tuesday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and available for the public to be able walk in,” said Dubord. “We were lucky because we didn’t have to do any renovations because we already have the Plexiglass in place, we just have to find ways to get the fingerprint machine outside. We also want to align with other police departments and many of them are opening again after the long weekend.

“So please come back to the police station. We will have a number of people who can be in the lobby, as well as signs and decals and our staff are working hard to ensure we can reopen.”
