The City of Delta has set its area fire rating to low, thanks to recent rains and cooler temperatures.
Despite the low fire rating, the public is still reminded to:
- Call 9-1-1 to report any fires
- All residential backyard fires, campfires and open cooking fires (except in approved briquette and propane BBQs) remain banned year-round in all areas of Delta
- Use caution when smoking. Cigarettes and matches should be extinguished before disposal and placed in a metal or glass receptacle
- Smoking is prohibited at all Delta parks and open spaces.
- Please report any unauthorized activity that poses a risk of fire to the Delta Police Department’s 24/7 non-emergency line at 604-946-4411.
