Delta police have released their weekly impaired driving stats.
Between Oct. 5 and 11, DPD took nine impaired drivers off the roads of Delta.
Five of those drivers were served 90-day Immediate Roadside Prohibitions, meaning that they are prohibited from driving for 90 days, and their car is impounded for 30 days, while four drivers were served a 3-day Immediate Roadside Prohibition, meaning that they blew a warn into the Alcohol Screening Device, and this was their first incident. These drivers are prohibited from driving for three days.
“A reminder that Delta has a zero tolerance policy for impaired driving. If you believe that someone is impaired while driving, please call 9-1-1,” said DPD in a post on their Facebook page.
