Unprecedented times called for an unprecedented solution - and that is just what the Delta Hospital and Community Health Foundation did with one of its biggest fundraising events.
Due to provincial restrictions on large gatherings, the Foundation made the decision to take its 22-year old golf tournament and make it ‘golfless.’
The Century Group Delta Health Golfless Classic was held online from Thursday, Sept. 10, to Thursday, Sept. 17, raising funds for a new service and piece of equipment for Delta Hospital - an echo ultrasound.
This week the Foundation announced that $151,624 net was raised at the event.
“This completed the $297K campaign to fund a new service and piece of equipment – an echo ultrasound,” said the Foundation on its Facebook page. “Thank you to our sponsors, auction donors, and all those who participated for your incredible support during this challenging year. We are especially grateful to Century Group for their steadfast commitment to this important fundraiser for Delta Hospital.”
