Guilty pleas have been entered by three men in connection to a string of robberies early this year in Delta and Surrey.

In Surrey provincial court on June 13, Brandon Allen Mayes, 25, of Surrey pled guilty to three counts of robbery, one count of assault with a weapon, and one count of committing an indictable offence with face covered; Karman Singh Grewal, 26, of Vancouver pled guilty to one count robbery, one count fail to stop for a peace officer, and one count of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and Gursimran Sahota, 21, of Surrey pled guilty to three counts of robbery and one count of committing an indictable offence with face covered.

On Feb. 7 Surrey RCMP and Delta police began a joint investigation after receiving reports of three robberies that occurred in both jurisdictions involving three suspects.

The first response was to an armed robbery at a pharmacy in the 15100 block of Fraser Highway. Investigators learned that two males entered the store with their faces covered, brandishing a knife, allegedly demanding money and pharmaceuticals.

No employees were physically hurt in the robbery.

Approximately 15 minutes later, Surrey RCMP responded to a report of a similar armed robbery at another pharmacy a short distance away in the 15900 block of Fraser Highway.

During the course of the investigation, officers learned of a third similar armed robbery that occurred around 5:15 p.m. at a pharmacy in Delta in the 6900 block of Scott Road.

The Surrey RCMP Robbery Section took conduct of the occurrences in Surrey and worked closely with DPD to advance the investigations collaboratively, which resulted in multiple criminal charges against the three men.

Sentencing is set for June 27 in Surrey provincial court.
