Yes, the world has changed, temporarily.

Yes, we may be feeling unsettled and anxious.

Yes, we may be feeling isolated due to the required physical distancing.

And yes, the Centre for Supportive Care’s bereavement counselling services are still available even though the Centre is temporarily closed to the public due to COVID-19.

Currently, bereavement counsellors are providing telephone counselling with the hope of adding video counselling to support individuals who live or work in Delta and are grieving the loss of loved ones.

The Delta Hospice Societycontinues to provide services to its regular standard of excellence, in as much as this is possible during these challenging times.

“We know that people who are grieving often feel alone and overwhelmed with their loss, and the current physical distancing and other restrictions only heighten these feelings,” said Nancy Pagani, Delta Hospice Society’s director of operations. Caring, supportive and professional grief counselling can help reduce these feelings and provide opportunities for grieving individuals to express and honour feelings and thoughts as well as acquire tools and strategies to navigate their grief journey.”
