Ladner resident Alicia Guichon has declared her intention to run for a council seat in this October’s municipal election.
Guichon confirmed on social media she will be running on the Achieving for Delta ticket with former city CAO George Harvie, who will be running for mayor.
“As a young person, I feel honoured to have been asked and share this experience with an amazing Team!” she said on Facebook.
Earlier this week former Delta fire chief Dan Copeland posted a similar announcement on social media.
Harvie’s slate will also include three other council candidates but they haven’t been made public yet.
Achieving for Delta will have a formal announcement at Tsawwassen Springs next Tuesday evening at 7 p.m. It’s a free event.
