Required maintenance inside the Massey Tunnel created gridlock for northbound traffic well into Wednesday afternoon.
The right lane was re-opened just before 2 p.m. with traffic backed up well past the Delta Works Yard on Highway 99 and beyond the overpass on Highway 17A too.
No further maintenance is scheduled.
