The city will install new traffic control gates for farmers.
Council recently approved the expenditure of over $138,000 for electrical services and automated traffic control gates along Burns Drive at 88 Street and at the foot of 96 Street, just north of the Boundary Bay Dike.
The access shall be limited to Delta farmers, emergency responders and other approved users.
The engineering department notes the work is essential at this time to maintain the functionality of Delta's road and transportation infrastructure.
