The City of Delta is making changes to its weight room facilities.
The weight rooms at Ladner Leisure Centre, Winskill Aquatics and Fitness Centre and North Delta’s Sungod Recreation Centre, will be receiving new strength and conditioning equipment, along with additional smaller accessories starting Monday.
To accommodate the delivery and installation of the new equipment, the weight and cardio areas at each of these facilities will be shutting down.
- Ladner Leisure Centre: Feb. 11 to 13
- Winskill Aquatics and Fitness Centre: Feb. 19 to 21
- Sungod Recreation Centre: March 6 to 8.
During the shutdown dates, all drop-in and registered fitness classes occurring in spaces outside the weight and cardio areas run on their normal schedule.
Fitness staff will also be hosting new equipment information and orientation sessions at Sungod Recreation Centre to introduce and familiarize patrons with the new pieces.
The sessions will take place March 9 from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.; March 11 from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. and March 13 from 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
