Local Lions clubs in Ladner and Tsawwassen held the annual Christmas tree chipping events Jan. 10 and 11 at Memorial Park in Ladner and the South Delta Recreation Centre in Tsawwassen.
Trees are chipped by donation and proceeds from the yearly event are used on projects in the community. The tree chippings are either used on park trails throughout the community or sent to Metro Vancouver to be composted and turned into soil.
