On Friday, March 2 about 50 Delta Secondary School students joined students across the Lower Mainland in staging a walk out in support of teachers. About 25 students took the message to the streets of Ladner and walked from the school to the to the intersection of 47A Avenue and Arthur Drive. The students stood on the four corners of the intersection with signs in peaceful protest for 45 minutes. Students said there were many honks and waves of support from passing cars, trucks and busses. "However, we were shocked and offended when we got a few thumbs down and shaking of heads in disapproval," said student Antony Tsui in an email. "These people need to learn about the actual situation of what's happening in our B.C. schools before passing judgment on B.C. teachers and students."
