This week, Delta police officers served 11 impaired drivers 90-day immediate roadside prohibitions (IRP), and one driver a seven-day IRP.
“What's interesting this week is that the vast majority of the drivers chose to walk home after their car was impounded. And the others? They took a taxi or called someone they knew to pick them up,” said DPD in a post on their Facebook page. “How about this week, before getting behind the wheel of a vehicle impaired, you make the choice to walk, call a taxi or call a loved one to pick you up?”
