Delta police executed a search warrant and arrested two suspects in an ongoing investigation Thursday afternoon in Boundary Bay.

Delta police executed a search warrant and arrested two suspects in an ongoing investigation Thursday afternoon in Boundary Bay.

And rumours and speculation on social media that the arrests were part of a meth lab operation are in fact false according to police.

DPD spokesperson Cris Leykauf told the Optimist that officers executed the search warrant at a home on 66A St.

She said police anticipate they will be forwarding charges to Crown in relation to evidence found at the scene.

“There is significant speculation on social media that police were investigating a meth lab,” said Leykauf. “That’s not the case. There is no evidence to suggest drugs were being produced at this site.”

She further indicated police do not believe the residence poses a risk to public safety.

The Lower Mainland Integrated Police Dog Services team attended for the initial execution of the search warrant, and Delta DPDs Traffic Specialty Dog Unit assisted in the search.

Police have seized evidence and at this time are still processing the scene, she said.
