The secretariat for the panel reviewing the proposed Roberts Bank Terminal 2 project will be holding a series of information sessions.

The sessions will provide an opportunity for the public to hear more about the environmental assessment process, the status of the proposed project and the timelines for its completion. The sessions will also provide an opportunity for attendees to ask how they and their communities can participate in the process.

The Port of Vancouver says its proposed Terminal 2 project, a three-berth container terminal, is needed to meet forecasted demand for trade of goods in containers. It would be on a made-made island built adjacent to the Deltaport container terminal.

Several information sessions will be held around the region, including two in Delta. There will be one at the North Delta Recreation Centre on Thursday, Sept. 20 from 6 to 8 p.m. and another at the Coast Tsawwassen Inn on Friday, Sept. 21 from 9 a.m. to noon and 1 to 4 p.m.
