“I have always played Scratch & Win tickets and my girlfriend told me to play Crossword to help with my spelling,” said Hamma.

Hamma purchased the winning ticket from the McCallum Road Town Pantry and was at home when he realized he was a winner.

“At first I thought I had won $5,000. I asked my girlfriend ‘wouldn't it be nice if I won $100,000?’ When I checked the ticket again I had actually won the top prize! I couldn't believe it!”

Hamma hopes to use some of his winnings to take his dream vacation to Europe once it is safe to do so.
