The Heritage Advisory Commission recently restored a concrete statue and plaque that were donated to the city by the Chung Chuck family through the Delta Centennial Celebration in 1979.
The city tweeted a before and after photo which showing the work that's been done.
A resident had submitted a call through Talk Delta regarding its poor condition. The statue commemorates Ladner's Chinatown settlement.
The statue is located along the pedestrian pathway at 4753 River Road W.
This commemorative statue was donated to #DeltaBC in 1979 and honours Ladner’s Chinatown settlement. Thank you to our Heritage Advisory Commission for your hard work in restoring the statue – it looks amazing! #Restoration #Heritage #Ladner pic.twitter.com/f16lASaTAC
