Generous folks came together to donate two sets of dog dishes after a local woman had hers swiped last week.

In a post to the Tsawwassen Loop Facebook group Saturday, Darren Ell shared the good news and a photo of his mom Polly with her new items.

Polly had her bowls, which she puts out in her front yard for the neighbourhood pets, go missing last week. An earlier post in the Tsawwassen Loop brought the situation to light and prompted a happy resolution.

“We are happy to say that thanks to you very generous people in our neighbourhood, she is back in business,” Darren wrote. “A number of you wonderful people have gotten together to gift her with these fantastic treat jars and water bowl. And the great part is, she now has two sets. One is perfect for rainy days like today, and the other for the sunny days.”

Polly lost her dog and cat a few years ago.

“When she lost both her dog and cat a few years ago, we thought this would be a great way for her to stay connected with all the people she met while walking her dog, and also the wonderful people of the neighbourhood and their furry family members. But after reading all the comments on Murray’s post, she had no idea that she touched so many of you. It was very heartwarming for her and humbling. We are all so thankful for everyone’s kindness and support.”
