The Fred Gingell Park stairs are closed

The stairs at Fred Gingell Park in Tsawwassen have been closed due to icy conditions, the City of Delta announced yesterday on social media. The stairs will be closed until further notice, the city advised, thanking residents for their understanding.

The stairs at Fred Gingell Park in Tsawwassen have been closed due to icy conditions, the City of Delta announced yesterday on social media.

The stairs will be closed until further notice, the city advised, thanking residents for their understanding.

 

 

The stairs have been described as Tsawwassen's version of the Grouse Grind.

"Every local knows the stairs. It’s 200 steps of heart-pumping fun and the best place to get your sweat on in Delta," PJ Wren wrote in a fitness column in the Optimist in 2017.
