The purchase of a nifty, new T-shirt can help out two worthy community causes and several businesses who have been hit hard by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Stir Coffee House, Indalma Creative, Safeguard Business Systems and the Delta Firefighters Charitable Society have all come together to create the Delta Together T-Shirt as a way to give back to their community.

“Rob from Stir Coffee House approached us as he had the idea for this T-Shirt fundraiser,” said Kristy Storey from the Delta Firefighters Charitable Society. “He worked with Indalma and they did the graphics and donated the time in doing the work on them. Safeguard in Tilbury is printing the shirts, so it’s a joint venture. We, as the Charitable Society, purchased the shirts and we then reached out to different local retailers who are selling the shirts for us. They are $25 each.”

Funds raised from the sale of the shirts will be donated evenly between Azure Place Transition House (operated by WINGS) and the North and South Delta chapters of Starfish Pack. The goal is to raise $10,000.
A variety of Delta businesses are selling these shirts, and will be accepting sales via cash or e-transfer. If you have any questions about pick-up please contact the business you’d like to buy from. These shirts can be found at the following businesses: Stir Coffee House, Muddy River Landing, Barnside Brewing, Four Winds Brewing, Petra’s by L’Aromas, and Spektra Reflections of Home.

“We launched last week and we have already ordered a second round of shirts. It [the initiative] has been really popular,” added Storey.

Any other businesses that are looking to stock these shirts and help out the cause can contact Rob at Stir at: rlowe@stircoffeehouse.com.
