UPDATE: Highway 17 re-opened after morning MVI

UPDATE: AS OF 9:35 A.M. WEDNESDAY

Delta police have re-opened all northbound Highway 17 lanes and one southbound lane as of 9:30 a.m. Wednesday morning.

DPD traffic unit say they are waiting for tow trucks to clear the vehicles.

Heavy traffic back-up is still in the area.

Delta police and other first responders are at the scene of a serious injury motor vehicle incident on Highway 17 Wednesday morning.

The incident happened just before 9 a.m.

The DPD traffic unit said on their Twitter feed that Highway 17 southbound lanes are blocked just south of Highway 99 and it is unknown when they will re-open. Northbound one lane is open to allow access for emergency vehicles.
