North Delta resident Dan Zimmer shared this video of a UPS delivery to his home with the Optimist yesterday.

The package gets tossed Frisbee-style to his front door.

“I was both shocked and saddened, especially given that he tossed it in plain view of a camera that he couldn’t possibly have missed. It speaks to how little he cared,” wrote in an email to the Optimist.

The package was a little worse for wear but fortunately the contents were unharmed, he noted.

“From my perspective though, this is irrelevant. In what universe would this be considered an acceptable way to deliver any package?”

The package contained a piece of equipment that Zimmer’s head office had sent out to him. He works from home for an Ottawa-based technology distributor.

A UPS spokesperson said its drivers are trained to handle all packages with care.
