Food puzzles and other interactive feeders are a wonderful tool for indoor cats to stimulate their foraging instincts and decrease stress and boredom, the Delta Community Animal Shelter noted in a #ThoughtfulThursdays post on Facebook yesterday.
“They are also great for physical stimulation, to get those overweight kitties moving - or for cats like our very own ‘Perogie’ featured below, who ravenously eat their meals and need to slow down,” the post stated.
There are many different types, found online, in stores, or even do it yourself creations.
“Perogie seems to like the interactive food balls the most!” according to the post.
