A cautionary development tale

How can one justify destroying someone's view by erecting a row of 120 feet poles right up to someone's backyard for the sake of a driving range? It is simply wrong. Name me a person who does not mind his backyard view being ruined by these unsightly poles. At issue here is not about sacrificing a few for the common good. It is all about achieving an individual's vision at the expense of a few others. I wonder if Pat Quinn and Michael Bublé are aware that they are supporting a development whose beauty is built on the ruining of others. If Delta residents accept this kind of modus operandi by developers, this type of scenario will happen again. Next time, it could happen in your own backyard. Let this be the cautionary tale to the people who are complacent about neighbourhood developments. Let no celebrities, promises or fancy presentations fool you.
