In the American calendar system this tragic event occurred on Sept. 11, 2001 and ever since it has been simply known as 9/11. However, in SI metric system parlance the date was 2001.11.09, i.e., the official measurement system enforced by the government of Canada in the 1980s, which indirectly lead to the phrase Gimli Glider. Within NATO military forces, the date was simply 11 Sep 2001.
Where am I going with this? There have been attempts to link passages in the Bible foretelling the tragedy based on the number combination 9 and 11, which of course is as valid as Stephen Harper's promise to reform the Senate.
