Recently I faced one of the biggest and hardest choices of my life... Deciding whether to stay at my school, Holly, or switching to Cliff Drive for French Immersion. At first when my mum's friend mentioned the idea at the beginning of the summer, I didn't take the idea seriously. My mum did though, and she took the idea a step further and took me to actually sit in on a  class.  After a while, I began taking the idea seriously and into consideration. There were times when I was sure there was no way I'd leave Holly, and times when I thought hands down, Cliff Drive is where I wanted to be. But there were also days when I felt lost somewhere in between the two. It became emotionally tiring and I couldn't get it off my mind. The tension could've made me a nervous wreck if my family and friends didn't support me. But after a while it became unbearable, so my mum set a date to make the decision by. That date just happened to be when we were visiting my grandma and grandpa. When we were there, I let it all out. It really helped to let someone know how I really felt. In the end I decided to try something new for a change, and by new, I mean French Immersion!

Making big decisions like this can quite often be extremely hard to make. They happen to everyone eventually, and when they do, it's important to be prepared. Make sure to tell someone you trust how you really feel. Let it out. Having supportive friends and family is crucial if you don't want to fall apart emotionally. Don't put the decision off. It could end up driving you bonkers! Unfortunately, there is always going to be a time when you regret choosing the path that you took. Just remember, in most circumstances there will be no "wrong decisions" just new experiences. But most importantly, look at your choice in a positive way. You have to trust yourself. Negative thoughts will only lead to a negative outcome. Decisions can be tough, but they're what make every one of us so unique. Even a simple choice, can end up changing the course of your life. And when that decision comes, I bet the fact that the sun will come up tomorrow,  that you'll be ready!
