Today (Dec. 3, 2020) was the UN's International Day of Persons with Disabilities.
Even though it didn’t seem to have been recognized by the City of Delta, on this day, I want to say thank you to Mayor Harvie and council for taking on full serve gas, starting a Disability Advisory Committee, making the South Delta recreation centre and Tunnel Town Curling Club more accessible and inclusive, and soon amending the municipal parking bylaw to provide more and better accessible parking for people with disabilities. Good things to reflect today. Keep it up Delta.
