Editorial: A spectacular show

My hat goes off to the City of Delta and Alpha Aviation for bringing this show back.
2022 Bounday Bay Airshow 49
The Boundary Bay Airshow returned last Saturday in spectacular fashion.

After a two year pandemic pause, the skies above Boundary Bay came alive once again last Saturday.

The Boundary Bay Airshow returned featuring some of the best of the best pilots from across North America showcasing their talents.

It was the first time that I have attended the airshow and boy was I glad I did.

I, along with an estimated 10,000-plus enjoyed the static displays, meeting with the pilots and the show itself.

I was in awe of the talent on display and appreciated all of the hard work that went into putting the show together.

Clearly by the large crowds, lots of people were excited by the return of the show. It was great to see so many families and friends on a warm summer day enjoying a great, free community event.

My hat goes off to the City of Delta and Alpha Aviation for bringing this show back.

I didn’t hear of too many challenges, although we did receive a letter this week from a resident who pointed out long wait times for the shuttle service.

When asked, the City of Delta said they recognized those challenges and pledge to do better next year.
