The "mayor of North Delta" and self-proclaimed team of Robert Campbell and Ian Paton, now including Rod Binder, have ignored the Tsawwassen Area Plan, the Official Community Plan, the Metro Vancouver Regional Growth Strategy and approved developments such as the Southlands (which the Metro Vancouver planning staff recommended be denied).
They have ignored the original plan approved for the Marina Garden Estates development. They initiated the MK Lands/Burns Bog debacle.
They ignored the restriction on building levels by approving six floors for the Northgate project and also the 37-storey Delta Rise building.
The mayor and team have consistently ignored the wishes of the majority of the Delta electorate.
They have especially ignored the wishes of the majority of Tsawwassen and Ladner residents.
So why vote for the mayor's people? The mayor is not opposed in the upcoming election, however her team can be voted out.
In my opinion, the best "team" to vote for so that we are not constantly ignored is: Sylvia Bishop,
Lori Mayhew, Jennifer Thoss, Nicholas Wong and Johann Ackermann.
