Re: Government in denial over global warming, letter to the editor, Dec. 16

In walking away from the Kyoto Protocol, Canada recognized it was never about the environment.

Instead, it was a concerted, bare-faced global "Occupy" movement to redistribute wealth from the rich West to the developing poor.

The world climate summit in Durban managed, albeit only temporarily, to pull us back from the precipice of plunging headlong into cutting off our economic noses to spite our globally warming faces.

Meanwhile, a global version of "Robin Hood" is now pitting poor nations against rich, with the developing world insisting on being "equalized" into a position of being able to have their 12-digit "climate fund" cake and eat it too, courtesy of the evil capitalist West.

"Robin Hood" foreign aid programs have demonstrated the incredible waste of transferring giant chunks of economic wealth from the industrialized West to the bottomless holes of the Third World without workable verification.
