Re: New EV chargers coming to Delta (Optimist, Aug. 19).
As electric vehicles become more commonplace in the future, I hope that most if not all chargers and the spaces they occupy will be fully wheelchair accessible.
The federal government should make it a requirement that to access the $8 million in grants, the applicants (including Delta) must give assurances that the chargers will be accessible and inclusive for persons with disabilities who will also be moving to EVs.
