Letters: Grateful for neighbourly kindness

Thank you letter

Editor:

It is the strengths of our communities that either liberate and limit our abilities to cope during times such as these…and in our neighbourhood, the connections that have forged through simple acts of kindness have served to bring forth gratitude.

From the onset of the pandemic to present day, our neighbours have extended their commitment to church to strengthening neighbourly relations. It has been now a year, that we have been receiving baked goodies from our neighbour every week! Our kind neighbour has been extending this joy amid the dark blanket that has been the pandemic throughout our neighbourhood.

It is these caring acts of others that helps everyone connect and see beyond the present day atrocities that have been rampaging the world.

It is in continuous moments as these, that help me hold faith, hope and courage in the strengths of our communities today and in the future that lies before us.

Here’s to kind neighbours, engaged communities and tasty treats!
