Recently, Victoria city council voted to include in annual property-tax mail outs a letter offering the chance for property owners to make a voluntary contribution, collected by the city, to be passed on to local First Nations.
We are on unceded land in Delta. It makes sense that there be some tangible means of acknowledging that. This seems like one way to begin.
