Letters: How does the Premier feel about travelling to get his vaccine?

I liked your editorial regarding the vaccination sites in North Delta (Optimist, March 4).

I wonder how the Premier would feel if he was told he had to go to Sooke from his home in Langford for a simple vaccination writes this reader from North Delta.

Editor:

I liked your editorial regarding the vaccination sites in North Delta (Optimist, March 4).

I personally live in North Delta and I have used Google Maps to locate the proposed sites in Surrey.

There are two sites according to the government - Clayton Rec. Centre and Cloverdale Rec. Centre. Guildford will only be used in an emergency I understand.

Cloverdale will mean travelling 52 minutes and a distance of 52 kilometers return.

Clayton Rec. Centre will be 64 minutes travel time and a distance of 44 kilometers.

South Surrey Rec. Centre will be 45 minutes travel time and a distance of 44 kilometers. South Delta Rec. Centre in Tsawwassen would be 62 minutes travel time and a distance of 62 kilometers.

I wonder how the Premier would feel if he was told he had to go to Sooke from his home in Langford for a simple vaccination?

I have also complained to our MLA Ravi Kahlon. He is in Victoria but I think he got the message.
