Letters: Urging to not approve projects

Any economic gain would not be worth the gamble and I urge you not to approve these two Tilbury proposals

The following letter was sent to Steven Guilbeault, federal Minister of Environment and Climate Change Strategy with a copy to Delta Optimist

As a Canadian citizen for some 88 years, I am, along with my daughter, extremely concerned that you would place us and our community in such a dangerous and life threatening situation by even considering the Tillbury Phase 2 LNG Expansion Project along with the Tilbury Marine Jetty Project.

Placing these two proposals, knowing that nowhere else in the world would they be placed so close to people or on such a salmon producing estuary like the Fraser River, completely ignores the lives of people and their environment and should not be allowed now or in the future.

Any economic gain would not be worth the gamble and I urge you not to approve these two Tilbury proposals.

I wish to leave this world knowing that my daughter and the community she lives in are safe and secure.
