It's time the provincial Santa Claus put an end to the collusion in gas prices.

If there ever was an obvious example of collusion in retail gas prices, the latest round of $.17 per litre increase within 24 hours is proof that this industry needs government intervention.

It's rather obvious that when every gas station in the Lower Mainland increases the product exactly the same price there's an obvious collusion going on with this industry.

Gas stations in the Lower Mainland are owned by many different oil companies so it seems rather strange that all of them increase the product the same price at the same time. Really?

It's time for the provincial government to form an energy commission that will regulate gas prices and increase or decrease prices once or twice a month, not this daily misery that everyone has to put up with. The government should put in the maximum and minimum price adjustment.

Gasoline should be declared an essential item. It's not a luxury item one buys because they really want to, it’s absolutely necessary to conduct our lives.
