I was rushing my father to VGH ER at about 2 p.m. on Monday when a white BMW look a shine to my tail as we were climbing the Ladner overpass. Once we were over it, he passed at very high speed. After he'd gone a good distance, he stuck his middle finger up and out of his sun roof.

He beat us to the red light. He'd stopped in the left turn lane into Ladner and I stopped beside him in the HOV. He's young, has short hair combed to the right and was wearing big, stylish sunglasses. He seemed to be shocked and a tad embarrassed to have me parked beside him waving and smiling at him for so long.

I think a Delta police officer should visit him. Having a police officer knock on his door would remind him that boorish actions while driving have consequences.

He's the fifth young driver tailgate and pass me at high speed this month. Four of these five incidents have been on 56th Street. All five have been in broad daylight.
