It is astonishing that someone has used toxic chemicals somewhere above the pond at Tsatsu Shores that leaked into the water. Not only has this killed the ducks but it has the potential to kill bald eagles that could have eaten a dead duck, herons and small birds that surrounded that pond.

I hope this will be investigated to find the source and people responsible.

Tsawwassen is losing acres of bird habit as it is with a warehouses park, malls, housing and the constant cutting down of trees for all these projects. In my seven years living in what I felt was rich with birds and nature I have seen nothing but destruction of habitats. It’s heartbreaking and makes me want to leave a place I loved because it will only get worse.

TFN should stand for Tsawwassen Forgets Wildlife. Are we going to destroy what’s left?
