Unfortunately, Four Winds is lobbying Delta council to have a massive brewery on the Southlands.

The brewery was not part of the plan put to council to originally approve Southlands project. Council must keep its word to be trusted by its constituents.  We must have integrity within our council.

Regarding Century Group’s proposal for the Town Centre Mall, I am dismayed that high-rises are envisioned which would substantially reduce the sun exposure.

Part of Tsawwassen’s charm and character is its sunny skies, small town atmosphere and abundant nature. Indeed, the sign on 56th Street states, “Welcome to sunny Tsawwassen.”

The maximum height needs to be what is in the Tsawwassen plan and not changed to permit high-rises

While council may be under persistent pressure from developers to allow high-rises and a massive brewery, this is contrary to the beloved nature and attraction of Tsawwassen.

Council needs to have the courage and integrity to withstand these pressures and protect the character of Tsawwassen.

Lastly, by accepting political donations from developers there is implicit pressure put on council members to grant developers what they want. I’m glad this will no longer be happening.
