I wonder if the people of North Delta are aware of the rate big trees are being cut down by the developers to build monster houses.
This is the absolute least environmentally friendly mayor and council that has been our misfortune to see, with the exception of “lone wolf” Lois Jackson who does care. The remainder of the council votes each and every time to cut down our precious trees and pave over the grass for more parking.
With all the trees and grass being gobbled up by 6,000-square-foot houses and driveways, does anyone realize what that does to the air shed? This mayor and council do not care about the air and waterways. The almighty dollar and developer friends matter more.
Come on folks, write letters and protest. Someone out there must care about the environment. The next election is a long three years away.
