Thank you to Mayor George Harvie and his council for moving some of their scheduled council meetings to North Delta.
The format of their meetings encourages Delta residents to come 30 minutes early to be added to that agenda. Once on the agenda, Delta residents can address the entire council in person during an official meeting.
I am hopeful our Delta school trustees will soon follow suit with these two very important ideas for their official meetings. It would allow all Delta residents to more easily communicate directly with our locally elected school officials in the form of a documented public meeting.
This is a very important part of our Canadian democracy and I am hopeful the newly elected trustees will make these important changes very soon.
