I know neither Kiran Sidhu, nor Lorraine Dubord or her husband, Neil. As none of us know the full details of what happened, I am not prepared to give an opinion.
However, I will say that I am disappointed by the information in the article saying that some are asking for the police chief's firing because of what his wife did.
I think we should all be proud of our local police department, including the chief. I have previously read the articles of his you have published and found them interesting, informative and well thought out.
I too am an immigrant. Sixty-odd years ago I came with my family to a small town in B.C. I was white, but it made no difference -- I was not born in that community, so went through lots of bullying and a hard time for the first year until I was accepted for what I was.
It is time that we realized that all lives matter.
