Dubord altercation offers reminder that no one should be treated that way

I am extremely disheartened by George Stewart's response to the incident between Lorraine Dubord and Kiran Sidhu, and that "an apology would have been sufficient." The only thing he is correct about is that it is not a BLM moment. However that does not mean it was not a racially motivated incident.

I, unlike Stewart, support the community and media uproar as there needs to be a clear message/reminder that no one is allowed to treat anyone in that manner. Basic decency does not include hurling personal insults or attacking someone with a hose (which could have ended with a charge much more serious than assault had she fallen and hit her head).

Thanks for the teaching moment, Stewart. Just had a nice recap with my kids on kindness, sharing, consideration and reaching out to those that might need a hand. How easy it could have been for Lorraine Dubord to simply point Kiran Sidhu in the right direction and make sure she got to her car safely.

Thankfully our community is filled with many people who would have done just that.
