Thank you to Ian Jacques for his informative and much needed article.
People need to be aware that abusers are pretty adept at portraying themselves as a "nice person," only to show their dark side when no one is looking. What is more distressing is when there are witnesses to negative behaviour and nothing is done.
Perhaps seniors are not coming forward because they are afraid of being dismissed or if they do come forward, no appropriate action is taken. It seems like society is always protecting the aggressor.
As Bob Marley said, "Stand up for your rights."
