Four Winds has options that don’t include Southlands

Kudos to Paul Lowry for his enlightening letter outlining how the recent proposal by Four Winds differs from existing local brew pubs. He has spent a great deal of time researching this matter.

Craft brewing is an industry and like other industries it would bring with it noise and odours. Surely we have learned from the East Ladner situation how destructive it can be living close to odorous practices.

I commend Delta council for turning down this application. Since the current Four Winds facility on Tilbury is so popular, surely the company could find space in that industrially zoned area or on Annacis Island and/or expand its business to Port Moody row.

By the way, Four Winds collaborated with Port Moody brewery Yellow Dog for a new product called Friendship Bracelet (delicious). There are options that do not include adding more development on the Southlands. I hope this topic can be put to rest.
