I would like to thank the people who helped when I collapsed near 14th street from an anaphylactic (allergic) reaction to a sting on Aug. 8. I was not in any shape to recognize anyone, but I understand from my family, there was an off-duty fireman and an off-duty nurse. They stayed with me until the ambulance came. The ambulance personnel were professional and caring. When I was taken to Delta Hospital, I was treated with grace, courtesy and professionalism.
I appreciate all the care and compassion shown to me both by the people who came to my aid initially and in the hospital.
