A single-car mishap on Highway 17 westbound last Tuesday afternoon saw a lone car, axle broken, windshield smashed, no one around, except one man squeezed between car and concrete divider, obviously comforting the occupants, and a woman to the rear of the car balanced on the same concrete divider waving her arms like crazy and pointing to the oncoming traffic to move to the right, all the while without falling off herself.

Delta firefighters came to the rescue a few minutes later.

We all hope occupants of car are OK, but "bouquets" to the woman, the man and our Delta firefighters.

A true working example of the importance, and meaning of, "love your neighbour as you love yourself."
