I am writing to express my thanks for the extraordinary kindness shown to us recently at the Delta Hospital Auxiliary Thrift Shop.
My 11-year-old grandson found a treasure there – a well-used air hockey game. However, in setting it up at home, he discovered a missing cord for the game to function optimally. We brought this dilemma back to the thrift shop for consultation.
Not only did Jim give Jakob clear advice, he spent enough time with him to teach, to search and to find the perfect electrical cord that fit.
I was so struck by “the extra mile” which Jim travelled with us. When completed, it was Jim who helped Jakob carry his repaired treasure to our vehicle… even in a deluge of rain.
