Re: Qualtrough says lost trust forced caucus expulsions, April 11

With a heavy heart I'm reading the article where MP Carla Qualtrough talks about a lost trust. We, the people, are losing even more trust, but in an opposite direction.

How can you assume you live in a democratic country when the attorney general, supposedly a guardian of democracy, is pressured by a government to act against her solemn duty?

And a few of those brave enough to back her out are being expelled from caucus? And there is not one finger being raised by our useless senators?

I'm sorry to say, Qualtrough, but you and your so-called team needs a huge refresher course on history and on democracy.

The only lesson I can give you right now is my declaration that, for the first time in my 30 years in Canada, I'm not going to vote in an upcoming election. So are several others from my circle.

I know how outraged your team will be by this statement, but we will actually do good for the democracy. Please let me explain. A few more people always decide to participate in an election on my influence, telling them that any bad government is better than an anarchy, but there is a limitation to how bad it can get.

And please believe that I know what I'm talking about because I have participated in a big pro-democracy fight before.
